I've been at DIDW 2006, busily preaching I-Names and Equals, our new service for leveraging relationships to control communication on multiple communication channels. It seems to be getting a lot of attention, and I'll be talking more about it on this blog.
There have been a couple of highlights to talk about so far at DIDW:
- Kim Cameron finally was able to make a formal statement about Microsoft IP claims around Cardspace - a "Open Specification Promise" which is the same sort of "non-assertion covenant" I've been pushing for by contributors to OASIS specifications.
- The I-names community is hosting a promotion - $5 for i-name registration for the first year.
- Good things are happening with Openid. Convergence continues...
- I discovered my "inner salesperson"... and I got to meet a lot of interesting people who seemed really excited by what we're doing.
More to come!
